MICKEY'S NOT-SO-SCARY HALOWEEN PARTY CROWDS & PRICE

Okay you guys, as you're trusted Travel Advisor, I'm going to be honest with you. The fact is, the parties are way busier now than they were even just a few years ago. One of the big allures of these events is smaller crowds that you would experience during a normal park day, and that still is the case! However, it may be more crowded that you would expect.

That being said, aside from the first couple of parties, August and September are still better options than October. We also recommend avoiding the first and the second party as well. Those dates often sellout, and are over ran by Vlogs and Disney Media outlets.

So, how much does it cost?

Ticket prices range from $109-$199 (plus tax) for adults and $99-$189 (plus tax) for children. Disney uses a date-based ticket pricing system. Meaning, the prices will be more on popular dates(closer to Halloween).

Remember, this is a special ticket and separate from your regular park ticket. A regular park ticket will not give you access to the party. Also worth mentioning, you will not need a park reservation for this event.

MNSSHP START TIME

The main party events begin at 7 p.m. and end at midnight, but people with event tickets can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 p.m. to enjoy the park in its “regular” state before the party officially kicks off at 7pm.

Wristband:

Since the park is open only for party guests, those attending will need to get special wristbands. There are a few places guest can get their bands! Wristbands can be picked up at: the front of the park (as you enter), inside the Chamber of Commerce building on Main Street, near Buzz Lightyear, outside of Mickey’s Philharmagic, Guest Relations window in Liberty Square, and near Tortuga Tavern

Pro-Tips:

  • We recommend during your "regular" park hours you take advantage of activities that are not offered during MNNSHP. Like select attractions, character meet and greets, and dining options.

  • The characters at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are a HUGE draw, and it isn’t unusual for some of them to get a 1-2 hour wait. However, some of the most popular characters start meeting guests before the party even begins.

CAN YOU WEAR A HALLOWEEN COSTUME TO THE PARTY?

Copyright Disney Parks & Resorts

Absolutely, a matter of fact, it's encouraged! We have seen so many creative costumes! It can be a lot of fun to dress the family in a Disney theme. We've seen families dress as the Incredibles, Haunted Mansion Ghost, Pirates of the Caribbean, and so much more! What a great way to add extra magic to a trip! If you and your family want to dress to impress, there are a few dress code guidelines that guest must follow. Let's review:

For Guests ages 13 and under:

  • Costumes and some costume masks may be worn; masks must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen.

For Guests 14 Years of Age or Older:

  • Costumes may be worn according to these guidelines. Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from Disney parks, unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards:

  • All Guests may dress as their favorite character, but may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.

  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.

  • Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.

  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.

  • Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.

  • Costumes may not reach or drag on the ground. (for example, full-length Princess dresses)

  • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.

  • Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.

  • Acceptable accessories include: transparent wings, plastic light sabers, toy swords and tutus. Costume headwear may be worn as long as it does not cover the face.

  • Costume masks of any kind may not be worn.

TRICK-OR-TREATING

It's not Halloween without candy! Everybody joining the party is given a small bag when entering the party, but you can bring your own if you’d rather have something a bit bigger. If there's anyone in your travel party with a food allergy, be sure to inform the Cast Member handing out the bags, they'll give you an "allergy bag". This will be a different color bag to alert Cast Members at treat stations.

People with food allergies:

Be sure to grab a teal bag from a Cast Member at any treat location and/or head to Town Square Theater and Liberty Square Ticket Center for an allergy-friendly selection. You can also collect teal tokens at the trick-or-treat stations which can later be redeemed for allergy-friendly treats. The allergy-friendly centers are shown as teal Mickey heads on the party map.

You can easy spot the trick-or-treat locations with a large inflatable that has the word TREAT on it. Disney makes it pretty obvious! You can also find the treat locations on the MNSSHP map guide. You can find the guide located near the park maps.

Pro-tip: Go trick-or-treating later at night. There's often shorter lines and Cast Members often will give generous portions later in the night. Doing this will also help you to avoid carrying around heavy candy all night! If you're someone with a food allergy bag, we recommend you do NOT wait till later. The line to turn in your tokens will be very long!

ENTERTAINMENT & SHOWS

It's not a DIsney Party unless there's amazing entertainment and shows! MNSSHP has 3 exclusive shows guest can partake in!

You'll still want to arrive a little early for a viewing location, we recommend 30 minutes before show time.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular

Everyone's favorite mischievous witches, the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus return in 2022 to throw a glorious Halloween party. The Sanderson sisters use their magic to enlist some help from a few Disney Villans to run amuck during MNSSHP.

With the help of the Disney villains, the 3 sisters mix sinister shadows, terrifying nightmares and use the nefarious powers of their frightening colleagues to conjure the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion and cast a spell on everyone in Magic Kingdom. Look for appearances from Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie and Maleficent.

This show will be located at the main stage located in front of Cinderella Castle. You do not need to camp out for a viewing spot. Just show up and enjoy!
