End Date Announced for Magic Kingdom’s TRON Virtual Queue

If you’ve visited Disney World within the past few years you’ll know that Disney has been shaking things up with virtual queues for their latest rides. Starting with the mega-hit Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios and continuing with newcomers like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom. We think this new queue system will be the new go to for new attractions. At least until the hype cool down.

Well, TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom is about to make a change! Since its thrilling debut in April 2023, it’s been rocking a virtual queue. But hold onto your mouse ears—starting September 9th, TRON will be switching gears to a standby queue. That means if you’re visiting before September 9th, you’ll need to hustle to snag a spot using the My Disney Experience app or grab a Lightning Lane Single Pass. After September 9th, you can either jump in line the old-fashioned way or opt for the Lightning Lane Single Pass for a turbocharged entrance.

Meanwhile, two other Disney World attractions are still rocking the virtual queue vibe: the fresh-faced Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the cosmic adventure of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Tiana’s just opened its doors this summer, while Guardians has been thrilling guests since May 2022. Stay tuned for updates on when they’ll switch to standby queues—it’s all part of the magic!
