For those unfamiliar with this elusive resident, the Hatbox Ghost made his debut in Disneyland Park's Haunted Mansion in 1969. Although he resurfaced in the attraction in 2015, his elusive presence had yet to grace the Magic Kingdom attraction—until now!
Making his spectral appearance adjacent to the Endless Hallway, the Hatbox Ghost materializes through a door adorned with cobalt blue glass, shrouded in the cloak of night. Trailing behind him are faint traces of muddy footprints, marking his eerie journey as he meticulously arranges his cart of hatboxes and luggage. Illuminated by the moon and the soft radiance of a dim lantern, guests find themselves in a face-to-face encounter with the Hatbox Ghost, his grim grin exuding fiendish delight as he astounds visitors with his otherworldly parlor trick. Disney Imagineers have dedicated themselves to preparing the Mansion for his arrival, enhancing lighting and refreshing paint throughout both the queue and the attraction.
